Well, yesterday Mike decided we would head to Savannah or rather Wilmington Island to have our Anniversary meal that we missed back in March around the time his Daddy got sick. It's been a long few months of adjustments and most Saturday's we are at the VA visiting his Dad.
Some time last year we discovered a small little place called The Flying Fish on Wilmington Island. No body told us about it we just got on the internet and decided we wanted to explore a non-franchised place and see what we could find. We sat down with the computer and punched up GOOGLE and away we searched. The fact the had an affordable priced "Low Country Boil for Two" was enough to peak our interest and we headed out to pay them a visit. It was an interesting visit because there weren't many people in the restaurant and the couple that sat at the table beside us was very friendly and we struck up a nice converstation with them... The food was wonderful and very affordable. I believe on that occassion we did have the "Low Country Boil" and the price exclusing tax and drinks was around $24.00.
Today we again arrived at a non-typical dining hour. It was around 3ish when we got there. This time we splurged and ordered the "Steam Pot" which included everything in the boil with the addition of crablegs which are one of my most favorite things to eat. It was $29.99 and it was plenty for both of us! As much as we all love our Toombs/Montgomery area we realize that everyone travels now and again and we want to help you discover places we've had adventures and even some misadventures...
Mike Gives THE FLYING FISH 4 out of 5 Stars
We love comments! Have you visited The Flying Fish? If so what did you think? Want to recommend a place for us to adventure to? We'd love to hear it. Here's hoping you're having a wonderful weekend!
